Traverse ("Traverse," "we," "us," or "our") provides an invoicing and business management platform, accessible via our web application and our WhatsApp/Telegram bots (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

By using Traverse, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who We Are

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, business name, password (or Google account credentials if you sign in with Google).
• Business data: invoices, customer records (names, phone numbers, emails, addresses) that you create or upload while using the Service.
• Payment-related information: if you use payment features, transaction records and identifiers from our payment processor(s) (e.g. Paystack). We do not store full card numbers ourselves.
• Communications: messages you send us for support, and messages exchanged with our WhatsApp/Telegram bots.

2.2 Information collected via the WhatsApp/Telegram bots

When you interact with Traverse through WhatsApp/Telegram, we and our messaging provider (Meta / WhatsApp Business Platform/ Telegram) process:

• Your WhatsApp/Telegram phone number.
• The content of messages you send to the bot (e.g. customer names, invoice line items, search queries) needed to carry out the actions you request (creating invoices, adding customers, etc.).
• Message metadata (timestamps, delivery status) provided by the WhatsApp Business Platform/Telegram.

We link your WhatsApp/Telegram number to your Traverse account only after you confirm this linkage through your logged-in web account (via a one-time linking code). We do not message you on WhatsApp/Telegram unless you have initiated contact with the bot or explicitly opted in to notifications.
